Nishat Azam is of-counsel at the Watson and Associates. Her practice areas include government contracts, corporate law and litigation. She has experience with Federal government contracting, including substantial knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Principles, Cost Accounting Standards, and managing bid protests and claims.
She has experience reviewing and negotiating subcontracts, software licenses, and teaming agreements in connection with federal procurement and drafting contracts, memorandums and briefs for government contract work related to SBA 8(A)’S and joint ventures.
Nishat has knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations and experience in drafting of FAR and DFARS compliant agreements. She has assisted government contractors with bid protests at the GAO, at the Agency, and at the Court of Federal Claims.

She has worked as In-house Counsel for a professional services company in Florida and has run her own firm in Florida, specializing in debt relief, before joining Watson and Associates.
She received her Juris Doctor degree from the Barry University School of Law and her Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law from Stetson University.
Nishat is an active member of the District of Columbia, Virginia and the Florida Bars and is skilled at working with Florida businesses in the government contracting space. She is fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
