Michael Shariff is Of Counsel to Theodore Watson & Associates, LLC. He assists clients with complex Government Contract and intellectual property matters, including patent preparation, consulting, and advice on managing patent portfolios.
Mr. Shariff specializes in helping clients bring their innovative products to market. His work includes filing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting prior art searches and investigations, assisting clients with design-around efforts, patent reexamination, and patent litigation support especially in the governmen contracting market.
He also develops joint venture agreements and technology transfers and creates confidentiality, non-competition, and non-disclosure agreements.
During his career, Mr. Shariff has prepared and prosecuted patent applications covering a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies, including a variety of automotive systems, robotic assemblies, marine products, and fastener assemblies. Working in Baku, Azerbaijan for one of the world’s largest marine construction companies, Mr. Shariff took part in the preparation and negotiations of The 20th Century Oil Contract with a consortium of the world’s leading oil companies such as EXXON, Mobil, BP, Amoco, Pennzoil, Shell, LukOil.
